You don't have to change your life to change theirs.

For a few hours a couple of times a month, you can help a child succeed. You and your Little can share the kinds of activities you already like to do: play sports together, go for a hike, read a book, or eat pizza with extra anchovies. Whatever it is you enjoy, will be even better with your Little—and you’ll be making a life-changing impact.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is different from other mentoring organizations in that we seek volunteers who are committed and consistent: willing to serve at least a year. It’s what makes our programs successful, helping kids who face adversity beat the odds.

Professional staff are there to work with you, the child and the family throughout the course of the mentoring relationship to provide necessary training and support.

Show them today that you believe in their tomorrow!

Witnessing violence can change a kid's mind.

You can help them heal.

New research shows that witnessing traumatic events, like domestic violence, shootings, or even fighting, can impact the physical development of a child’s brain — potentially leading to lifelong health and social issues. But you can help reverse the effects. Changing Minds Now will teach you about the science of childhood trauma, and how five everyday gestures can make a world of difference.
