When I was asked to be a part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters inaugural fashion show fundraiser, it was a NO BRAINER! As a career educator who has dedicated the majority of my professional life to the empowerment and advancement of historically underestimated youth, I know the life changing significance of mentorship for young people.  Therefore, the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is well aligned to my own. I can’t wait to support them in generating some much needed funding that has the capacity to result in even greater opportunities and outcomes for “at promise” youth.

Little Jada and Big Nyla

Little Jada and Big Nyla

Little Jada and Big Nyla have been matched for three months through our Siena College program, but have already developed a close relationship. This event is perfect for this match because Jada dreams of being a fashion designer when she gets older and Nyla always encourages Jada to dream big and can achieve anything she sets her mind to.
