BBBSCR Welcomes New Program Assistants

Thanks to generous supporters and a second award through the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program, BBBSCR spent March expanding our full-time program staffing to allow us to meet the anticipated large influx of new child enrollments this year. Our one-to-one mentoring is only possible by an infrastructure that allows our staff to mentor our matches, ensuring the safety of Littles and positive outcomes for all.

Welcome to our three new Program Assistants: Chantelle Boyce, Dom Corker, and Noellie Medina. Chantelle, Dom, and Noellie have joined our team this past month and are tasked with enrollments (both child and volunteer), match support (the professional support, supervision, advisement, and training that BBBSCR provides to each Big/Little match), and site-based program coordination (managing the on-site programs that we run at local Capital Region colleges).

We are delighted that Chantelle, Dom, and Noellie have joined our team and look forward to serving additional children in the months ahead!

CHANTELLE BOYCE

Chantelle joins BBBSCR after previously experience as a Healthcare Program Assistant and Child Care Worker for various institutions in the Capital Region and NYC. Chantelle is currently pursuing her Master’s in Forensic Mental Health at Russell Sage College in Troy. She is the mother of twins and has a passion for helping people.

DOM CORKER

Dom enjoys working with young people. He comes to BBBSCR after having served for several years as a Facilities Coordinator and Program Instructor for the Capital District YMCA. Dom has also served as Junior Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach in the Scotia-Glenville Central School District. He takes pride in bringing positive energy and empathy to the position of Program Assistant. Dom looks forward to contributing to the BBBSCR team.

NOELLIE MEDINA

Prior to joining Big Brothers Big Sisters, Noellie worked as a Program Coordinator and Teaching Assistant at The Robert C. Parker School and as the Assistant Director of Enrichment at The Woodland Hill Montessori School. Working with youth is Noellie’s passion, and she is thrilled to be part of an organization that serves such a diverse group of children and families.
